NFSI answers questions about the NFSI Slip/Fall Prevention Coalition
The National Floor Safety Institute (NFSI) Answers Questions About the NFSI Slip/Fall Prevention Coalition – Requests Petition Signers
SOUTHLAKE, TX — The National Floor Safety Institute (NFSI) is pleased to issue answers to Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) about the new NFSI Slip/Fall Prevention Coalition, and urges supporters of public health and safety to sign the Falls Aren’t Funny petition powered by Change.org.
Question: What is the purpose of the coalition?
Answer: The NFSI Slip/Fall Prevention Coalition recognizes that – just as it takes a village to raise a child – it takes a community to enhance floor safety, and no one group or organization can do it alone. Said differently: United We Stand, Divided We Fall – quite literally, in some cases.
Question: How will NFSI achieve this?
Answer: NFSI aims to unite the marketplace and communities around floor safety by grouping like-stakeholders – e.g., foodservice, hospitality, retail, facility care and operations, and others – in shared communities of interest to raise floor care to floor safety in market-specific ways integrated on a common platform of best practices and ANSI standards.
Question: How do I join the coalition?
Answer: Just ask, and please sign the Falls Aren’t Funny petition powered by Change.org. Your name will be added to a growing master list of supporters, which will be properly segmented in time into the most appropriate categories or coalition groups.
Question: Will I be able to participate in more than one market-specific group?
Answer: Yes, NFSI encourages participation in all areas of interest to you and your company. This fosters synergies, knowledge-sharing, collaboration, and rapid advancements in, and enhancements to, floor safety through a network of cooperative coalition groups –rather than an insular approach – to advance the health and safety mission of the NFSI most rapidly across interrelated market areas.
Question: What will I need to do to support the coalition(s)?
Answer: As a stakeholder and volunteer, help NFSI disseminate information about ANSI standards and accredited training to help prevent slip, trip and fall incidents in your marketplace and those related to it. Also, please sign the Falls Aren’t Funny petition powered by Change.org.
Question: How will NFSI Coalition members be recognized and utilized?
Answer: Members of the Slip/Fall Prevention Coalition will be recognized in NFSI literature, on its website, and in its membership materials. We will also be putting together strategy, press, and activities to maximize the value and impact of this group.
Question: How else can we show our support?
Answer: Encourage your friends, family and business contacts to sign the Falls Aren’t Funny petition powered by Change.org. Change.org is the world's largest petition platform, empowering people everywhere to create change. There are more than 45 million Change.org users in 196 countries. All petition signers will be recognized on the NFSI website and in related press.
