Virus sickens 100 students
BEAVERTON, OR — A Portland school district is blaming the illness of at least 100 students and several staff members on the norovirus, according to The Daily News.
Beaverton School District is currently working with health specialists sent by the Washington County Department of Health and Human Services to stop the spread of the virus, the article stated.
According to the article, a few students were reported ill in the beginning of the weak, but the exact cause of the virus is as yet unknown.
The Health Department is also checking the types of disinfectants used by the school to determine if they are effective against such viruses, the article noted.
