When it comes to stripping and finishing floors, I notice the answers sometimes include the words percent of solids.
What does this mean?
Wednesday’s Answer:With floor finish, percent of solids refers to the amount of non-volatile materials (18-25%) in solution that will remain to form a film on the tile after the liquids have evaporated.
The higher the solids content, the more finish is actually deposited each time the floor is coated and dries.
