Custodian files sexual harassment complaint
MADISON, OR — A sexual harassment complaint filed with the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries alleges that a former Madison High School vice principal had a relationship with a custodian and took steps to have him transferred when he ended it, according to The Oregonian.
Custodian Jamaal Winchester alleges that after the breakup, the former administrator, Liz Wilson, filed a restraining order against him, which prompted his transfer to another school, the article stated.
According to the article, Winchester believed it was unfair he was being punished for ending the relationship, and he believed that Portland Public Schools should have helped him resolve the issue.
"The district really aided and abetted that when the district had an opportunity to make everything right in a timely manner," said attorney Jon Weiner.
