SnowCare for Troops enters fourth year, seeks volunteers
IRON MOUNTAIN, MI — For a fourth year THE BOSS Snowplow is pleased to underwrite Project EverGreen's SnowCare for Troops (SCFT) program, a community-based campaign providing active-duty military families currently deployed with snow removal services during the winter months, according to a press release.
"As any service member can tell you, the need for this program is still very great and we’re thrilled to see that participation in SnowCare for Troops is growing," said Mark Klossner, marketing director for THE BOSS Snowplow.
"Backing up our troops is what this program is all about. We're excited to see so many snow removal and landscape professionals giving their time and energy to show their appreciation to our service members and we look forward to a very active year," Klossner added.
The SCFT campaign currently has about 3,750 families and 1,400 volunteers signed up to participate in the program, the release stated.
According to the release, Project EverGreen matches registered military families with local volunteers to provide free snow removal services; volunteers who want to join the cause can sign up by visiting SnowCare for Troops online.
