ICAN/ATEX: How can I determine square footage in an irregular space?

I’ve been cleaning office buildings for years, but now I’m looking to start my own cleaning business.

My question is, how do you determine the square footage of areas that are not squared, but oval or circular?

Monday’s Answer:

And we thought that learning all that high school geometry was a waste of time.

The area of a circle is found by multiplying the radius of the circle by itself and the result by Pi, 3.1416.

A=(Pi)r² Remember, the radius is one-half the diameter.
