HFI announces available lab resources
BOISE, ID — The Healthy Facilities Institute (HFI) has announced its new Lab Resources Section for test laboratories seeking to help facilities improve their indoor environments through testing, according to a press release.
"Our goal is to call attention to sources of technical and/or lab services with the aim of creating more healthful, and scientifically-validated, environments for all," said Allen Rathey, president and founder of HFI.
"While we do not endorse products or services, we believe these credible science and verification channels are deserving of serious consideration on a level playing field," Rathey added.
One example of an HFI-listed lab is UMass Lowell's Toxics Use Reduction Institute (TURI) which has worked with IEHA in providing testing of green cleaning products as part of IEHA’s expanding High Performance Cleaning Product (HPCP) testing program, the release stated.
