IEHA 'Field Test' Program surging

WESTERVILLE, OH — IEHA has announced the rapid growth of its cost-effective Field Test Program as a means to have innovative products evaluated by members of IEHA's 3200-member demographic for feedback about the tested products' functionality, limitations and strengths, according to a press release.

"Recently, we have seen a spike in the number of companies requesting an IEHA product Field Test utilizing our members. This relates to the growing reputation of IEHA members as a resource for product research and development in real facility environments," said Beth Risinger, chief executive officer (CEO) and executive director of IEHA.

Companies are supplied with three to six names and addresses of selected member "Testers," the release stated.

According to the release, the company may request Testers from a specific type of institution — hotels, hospitals, schools, etc. — and the IEHA Testers will then use the accepted products at a given facility for one month, then send a completed evaluation form to IEHA.

This program complements the independent testing resources by UMass Lowell TURI under the High Performance Cleaning Product (HPCP) program which provides objective and scientific evaluations of product performance on actual facility surfaces, the release noted.
