PC4HS presents 2013 Special Achievement Award
SPARKS, NV — Process Cleaning for Healthy Schools (PC4HS) Founder Rex Morrison has presented the PC4HS 2013 Special Achievement Award for training excellence to Tom Pagh, facilities operations manager with Portland Public Schools (PPS), according to a press release.
"Tom is an exemplary individual and trainer, and the initial results at Portland Public Schools (PPS) show this. Mr. Pagh epitomizes what custodial training is all about," said Morrison.
"Tom started his career in custodial work at age sixteen, while cleaning up for new construction. He also worked as a substitute custodian for Gladstone High School, in Gladstone, Oregon. In 2002, Tom joined PHC Northwest in Portland, Oregon. PHC Northwest provides gainful employment and benefits for people with developmental, physical and mental disabilities. Tom started there as a custodian," said Tom Adams, director of facilities operations in Portland Public Schools.
"In late 2012, PPS initiated a pilot program featuring the PC4HS cleaning system with the intention of eventual adoption of the program throughout the entire school district. Tom was selected as the person to train with Rex Morrison and to implement that training in not only the school selected for the pilot project, but moving forward to the remaining district schools, in addition to his other duties," Adams added.
