Stanford Hospital cleaners express grievances
STANFORD, CA — The 13 custodians at the Stanford School of Medicine and Stanford Hospital and Clinics all agree: There has never been a worse time to be a hospital custodian, according to The Stanford Daily.
The complaints varied from managerial abuses and increased workload, to a hostile work environment, the article stated.
According to the article, all of the issues seem to focus on one particular set of managers who aren’t employed by Stanford.
In 2007, Stanford hired Sodexo as an outside contractor to manage their custodians, at which point custodians say their jobs took a drastic turn for the worse, the article noted.
