ST. LOUIS, MO — Fish Window Cleaning, which began as a one-man company in 1978, is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year and its growth to 250 national 
locations employing almost 2,000 people, according to a press release.
In recognition of their 35 years in business, S. Michael Merrick, chief executive officer (CEO) and founder, and Linda Merrick, executive vice president, were presented with a Certificate of Recognition by the St. Louis County Council, the release stated.
According to the release, Fish began business in January 1978 when Michael Merrick took over a window cleaning business with 100 accounts.
The company expanded through acquisitions and growth before adding an additional business unit, Fish Window Cleaning Services, a national franchisor, in 1998, the release noted.
