From owning a restaurant to cleaning them
PALM BEACH, FL — When a slumping economy forced Taylor Smith to leave the restaurant business and he still needed to make a living, he moved from owning restaurants, to cleaning them, according to The Palm Beach Post.
Having owned several restaurants himself, Smith knew that restaurant cleaning required more than typical janitorial services, and required attention to detail as well as a knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment, the article stated.
According to the article, in March 2012, Smith launched CJS Global.
The company services dining rooms, commercial kitchen equipment and pays attention to luxury details such as polishing marble floors, or dusting high walls often found in more high-end establishments, the article noted.
"He's absolutely blown up that business. He knows their business, and he’s a really hard worker," said Boca Raton restaurant broker Tom Prakas, who has recommended many of his restaurant clients to Smith.
In less than a year, Smith has gained more than 100 of South Florida's top restaurants as clients, the article added.
