FORT WORTH, TX — Leading global workwear maker Dickies has announced that its occupational wear division is expanding its product offerings and geographic availability in order to more fully and efficiently serve its growing customer base, according to a press release.
Customers in the foodservice, hospitality and healthcare industries will now have head-to-toe uniform options available from Dickies, including juniors sizing and footwear options as well as a full range of men’s and women's uniform apparel needs, the release stated.
According to the release, the company’s occupational wear division will also now provide workwear uniform solutions for customers across Canada; both expansions launched in early January 2013.
"We're pleased with the progress we've made in the last two years to provide our customers with deeper inventories, faster turnaround times and same day service on Dickies’ core industrial product line," said Alex Smith, senior vice president of occupational wear at Dickies.
"The Dickies workwear delivered service model has been well received in the marketplace and our category expansion and entry into Canada is the natural next step. We are excited to offer our North American customers a head-to-toe workwear solution from a brand their customers want to wear," Smith added.
Dickies plans to expand their presence in the healthcare space later in 2013 with the launch of a full line of industrial laundry medical scrubs, the release noted.
