HOUSTON, TX — The Houston area operations of Aztec Facility Services Inc. and Aztec Facility Management LP have certified to ISSA's Cleaning Industry Management Standard (CIMS) and CIMS-Green Building (CIMS-GB) criteria, according to a press release.
Compliance with the CIMS-GB criteria illustrates Aztec’s commitment to delivering green and sustainable cleaning programs while maintaining the five core principles of "The Standard" — quality systems; service delivery; human resources; health, safety and environmental stewardship; and management commitment, the release stated.
According to the release, the CIMS-GB designation ensures that Aztec provides customers with precisely what they need to secure points under the U.S. Green Building Council's (USGBC) Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design for Existing Buildings: Operations and Maintenance (LEED-EBOM) rating system, while greening operations overall.
"Aztec has embraced the CIMS methodology of standardization and the utilization of best practices as a company-wide culture change," said Aztec's President Ernest Jaffarian.
"We are fully committed to a continuous improvement business practice and this program ensures our customers get validation of this commitment," Jaffarian added.
