REDDING, CT — The Redding Board of Education has approved a new custodial contract, according to The Redding Pilot.
The contract will run from July 1, 2012, at which time there was a 1.5 percent salary increase, which will be retroactive, and will end on June 30, 2013, the article stated.
According to the article, on January 1, 2013, the custodians will receive an additional one percent increase, with two percent increases for both the 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 school years.
"They've been working off a three-year contract and this is a renewal with the union," said Peggy Sullivan, director of finance and operations at Easton, Redding and Region 9 school districts.
