PITTSFORD, NY — The Scensible Source Company LLC has been awarded a Utility Patent by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), according to a press release.
The patent is for the company's invention of Scensibles, a personal disposal bag for pads, tampons, panty liners and other personal care items related to feminine hygiene, the release stated.

According to the release, Scensibles' unique "mini t-shirt style" single-use plastic bags features a contemporary pink on pink imprinted design, a pleasant fresh fragrance, a built-in antimicrobial agent that inhibits the growth of odor-causing bacteria and an oxo-degradable additive enabling the bag to break down and decompose in the natural environment or a landfill.
In addition to significantly improving cleanliness and protecting health, the use of Scensibles diverts discarded feminine hygiene waste from the toilet to the trash, the release noted.
