ProTeam® Announces Relationship with Mid-America Distributor Sales

BOISE, ID — Effective Aug. 1, 2012, Mid-America Distributor Sales now provides manufacturer’s representation for ProTeam®, The Vacuum Company, in Kan., Mo., Iowa, and Neb. Mid-America adds ProTeam backpack, canister, upright, and wet/dry vacuums and accessories to a broad portfolio of commercial janitorial and sanitation products that includes leading brands from all key product categories.

“Adding ProTeam to our bundle will help us increase sales and provide value-added solutions to both our distribution partners and end-user market,” said Scott Crawford, Mid-America Distributor Sales Founder, President and CEO.

2012 has been ProTeam’s 25th anniversary year and saw the launch of the Next Generation of backpack vacuums, the Super Coach Pro™ series, innovative tools that help make cleaning workers more comfortable and productive. According to Crawford, it is ProTeam’s forward-facing approach that appealed to Mid-America’s team.

“We're excited to see what ProTeam’s product offering will look like in the coming years,” said Crawford. “In an industry that is pacing at two percent annually, only those companies that provide new innovation will see growth.”

By leveraging their bundle of quality products, Mid-America sellers create solutions that drive down the overall maintenance costs for the facilities that they serve.

ProTeam® (www.pro-team.com) became a global phenomenon in the commercial cleaning world in 1987 after introducing a game-changing design innovation, the lightweight backpack vacuum. In 2009, Emerson—a diversified global manufacturing and technology company—acquired ProTeam, and the legacy of innovation continues with a full range of vacuums and floorcare tools designed to tackle every cleaning situation.
