SAN DIEGO, CA — KBM Facility Solutions has been nominated for the 2012 National Minority Supplier Development Council Inc. (NMSDC) annual Supplier of the Year Award, according to a press release.
Presented each year at the NMSDC annual conference, the award recognizes minority suppliers that have distinguished their businesses by demonstrating growth, providing high-quality products at competitive prices, implementing cost-saving initiatives, continuously growing minority-owned business (MBE) purchases and significantly contributing to the growth and development of society and their community, the release stated.
"We work hard to create a culture of continuous improvement in all facets of our business," said Rene Tuchscher, chief operating officer (COO) for KBM Facility Solutions.
"But, it's not just about business; it’s about using business to make the world a better place to live — for everyone. We're honored to receive such recognition for these efforts," Tuchscher added.
According to the release, in addition to the Supplier of the Year nomination, KBM also recently received the Workplace Excellence Award for a mid-sized company presented by the San Diego Society for Human Resource Management.
The Workplace Excellence Awards were created in 2000 to educate and enlighten business leaders in San Diego on the value and contribution that exceptional human resources practices can make to the success and profitability of an organization, the release noted.
