CANON CITY, CO — Every year, the Fremont County Commissioners and other elected officials select one employee who exemplifies excellence in their work to honor, according to the Canon City Daily Record.
This year, the commissioners selected Facilities Department Lead Custodian Bobbie Miller as the Employee of the Year, the article stated.
According to the article, Miller’s nomination cited "her outstanding work ethic, her reliability and her pleasant personality, her true dedication and a smile on her face no matter what time of day."
At Tuesday’s Board of County Commissioners meeting, Miller was given a plaque, a corsage and a bonus check, the article noted.
