PITTSBURGH — A Pennsylvania window washing company tasked with de-griming the windows at a children’s hospital sent some special people in place of their regular workers, according to the United Press International.
On Monday, Spider-Man, Batman, Superman and Captain America, employees of Allegheny Window Cleaning Inc., cleaned the windows of the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh free of charge, the article stated.
"This isn't about us. This is about them," said Edward Matuizek, president of Allegheny.
"It's a nice place to work, but emotionally it's a real tough place to work. You go home and pick your own kids up, and there's a lot of gratitude there," Matuizek added.
The idea was suggested to Matuizek by his wife, who had read of something similar happening at a British hospital.
"The kids were loving it. Everywhere we went, they were coming in from different rooms," said Mark Errico, who wore the Captain America suit.
