IICRC Instructor offers Xactimate Estimating Training
BURLINGTON, WA — Restoration Sciences Academy (RSA) has now added certified Xactimate® estimating training to its roster of restoration, remediation and cleaning courses.
The three-day Basic/Intermediate Estimating course is being taught by RSA’s Mitch Byrom, the only instructor in the Industry who holds both Xactimate Affiliate Trainer and IICRC Instructor status.
“Mitch brings important restoration expertise to the equation,” said Brandon Burton, Technical Education Manager for RSA. “All of us at RSA look forward to the many important conversations we expect to result from the program.”
The course includes instructional presentations and practical applications to ensure students learn best practices. The teaching methods used are designed to build confidence by progressively increasing scope and complexity using real-world jobsite data.
Students completing this program will be prepared to challenge the Xactimate Level 1 and 2 user certification exams offered through Xactware.

A native of Paducah, Ky., Byrom joined RSA in July 2011. In June of this year, he was approved by the IICRC as a certified WRT instructor. Byrom has extensive experience in restoration, starting as an estimator and moving to a senior large loss project manager position before coming to RSA. He has also made numerous presentations at industry conventions, and has provided continuing education courses to insurance adjusters in Fla., Ill., and Ky.
