Kaivac honors National Hispanic Heritage Month
HAMILTON, OH — Kaivac Inc. is honoring Hispanic Heritage Month by updating their Facebook page with events, exhibits, celebrations and related activities in honor of the event, according to a press release.
Hispanic Heritage Month was started in 1968 under then-President Lyndon Johnson, and was expanded by President Ronald Reagan in 1988 to cover a 30-day period starting on September 15 and ending on October 15 of each year, the release stated.
According to the release, this month-long celebration is designed to celebrate the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America.
"The professional cleaning industry has always been a very diverse industry," said Tom Morrison, vice president of marketing for Kaivac.
"Each group has contributed significantly to make our industry stronger and more effective, including the large number of Hispanics who are involved in all aspects of professional cleaning," Morrison added.
