North American Salt Names VP Of Sales
North American Salt Company, a subsidiary of Compass Minerals, has promoted Bob Harper to vice president of sales for its consumer and industrial business unit.
Harper previously served as business director for Compass Minerals' consumer and commercial deicing products and as general manager of the company's Pristiva business.
Cleaning For A Reason Elects One To Board
Nancy Bock, senior vice president of meetings and education at the American Cleaning Institute (ACI), has been elected to the Board of Directors of Cleaning For A Reason and will serve as secretary.
Cleaning For A Reason provides free cleaning services to women undergoing treatment for cancer, and Bock leads ACI's education and outreach programs, building partnerships with organizations committed to improving lives.
Aqua ChemPacs Welcomes New Director
Heidi Tessler has joined Aqua ChemPacs LLC as director of national accounts.
Tessler brings nearly 20 years of sales experience, including 14 years as sales manager and vice president of sales and marketing for US Maintenance, to her new role with the manufacturer of liquid cleaning chemical packets.
Enviro-Solutions Announces Winners Of Contest
Enviro-Solutions Ltd. recently announced that Claudia, Joe and Zack at Great Neck North Middle School in Great Neck, New York, are the winners of the 2012 "Going Enviral" Greener Schools Video Challenge.
Claudia, Joe and Zack, who were chosen from 22 entries, will divide the $500 prize money, and their school will receive $500 in free green cleaning chemicals from Enviro-Solutions.

Veteran Franchise Fund Created
Anago Cleaning Systems created a $250,000 military veteran fund to help more veterans become entrepreneurial successes.
As part of its plan to award master franchise opportunities to 20 military veterans in the next 20 months, Anago will discount franchise fees by $25,000 for the first five qualified veterans who enter through Anago's Facebook page, and will provide $8,000 discounts for the remaining 15.
Two Earn BSCAI Safety Awards
Mitch Murch's Maintenance Management Company (MMMM) and Bravo! Group Services have both been awarded the industry's highest safety award.
The Building Service Contractors Association International (BSCAI) Safety Award in the large employers category is the second such accolade in three years for Bravo! and the seventeenth in the past 18 years for MMMM.

New Walkway Safety Standard Adopted
The National Floor Safety Institute (NFSI) and the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) have released the ANSI/NFSI B101.0-2012 "Walkway Surface Auditing Procedure for the Measurement of Walkway Slip Resistance," which establishes the first-ever procedure for evaluating the slip-and-fall potential for almost any type of walkway.
The new standard, which was more than six years in the making, will serve as a tool for measuring and documenting compliance with the ANSI B101 series of national safety standards.
