CALGARY, AB —Thirty-six people, including 16 staff have supposedly been infected by the highly contagious norovirus at the popular hotel, Château Lake Louis, according to the Calgary Herald.
While it can not be sure that it was the norovirus due to the fact that no specimens have been available, it is likely due to its easy rapid transmission, the story stated.
In order to keep the illness away from more people the employees were urged to stay at home, and the guests were quarantined to their room for the duration of the illness, the story noted.
"We are taking extra steps to make sure we clean above and beyond what is prescribed by government in these cases," said Lori Cote, a hotel employee.
