ROCKVILLE, MD — Pioneer Building Services, a Maryland-based janitorial company, recently became the fourth company in the Washington Metropolitan area to achieve the prestigious Green Seal GS-42 certification for cleaning service providers, according to a press release.
"There''s more to green than just choosing green cleaning products," according to Mike McDougal, president of Pioneer Building Services.
"We completed the Green Seal program because we believe it is our social responsibility to protect the health of our employees and the people who occupy the buildings we clean," McDougal added.
Pioneer managers and supervisors completed a 24-hour training program from the Building Wellness Institute, and the company underwent a detailed audit of its cleaning processes, procedures and business practices as part of the GS-42 certification process, the release stated.
