WASHINGTON — The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) announced it will conduct a June 28 Web chat to receive comments about combustible dust issues, according to a press release.
The agency is working on a standard to address dust-related fire and explosion hazards, having issued an Advance Notice of Proposed Rulemaking last October; this chat is another way to obtain stakeholders'' input, the release stated.
Participants can access it at and will remain accessible for additional feedback through July 7, the release noted.
OSHA said the chat will focus major issues such as the proposed standard''s scope; the balance between performance- and specification-based requirements; economic impacts; and definitions, the release added.
