FREMONT, OH — Crown Mats and Matting introduces new online tools to help schools and other facilities select the proper matting systems for the upcoming year, according to a press release.
According to the release, the tools may be downloaded by visiting the company’s website, selecting the Marketing Tools link and scrolling down to the subhead Matting Survey Forms.
The new online tools address common matting issues and clarify where these different types of mats should be placed in various types of facilities while providing the benefits that can be expected of a quality matting system, the release stated.
Christopher Tricozzi, vice president of sales and marketing for Crown Mats and Matting, said: "Terms such as ''wiper'' and ''wiper/scraper'' are common to the industry but not so common to school administrators. And clarifying what each type of matting does also requires some education. We have always believed that an educated shopper is a better shopper. Especially now with so many budget cuts, we want our customers to have all the information they need to make an informed buying decision."
Some of the mat selection tools available are: Properly Matting a School; Properly Matting a Hotel; Properly Matting a Restaurant; a Matting Audit Form designed for selecting industrial matting systems; and a General Matting Survey designed to help visitors select from a wide variety of matting systems, the release noted.
According to ISSA, the cost to remove one pound of dirt from a building is upwards of $600, so a well maintained and functioning matting system is critical to the overall cleanliness of a facility.
