According to the release, this is O,R&L''s second consecutive TOBY Award earned for buildings in the Capital Region of New York State.
The O,R&L facility management team is responsible for maintaining the 386,000-square-foot building that houses the Office of the Commissioner of the DOT, the State Transportation Incident Command Center (STICC), the main data center for the DOT and over 1,500 employees, the release noted.
O,R&L Facility Services President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Robert D. Owens said: "We are yet again so proud to not only win this prestigious award for all of our employees, but we are also honored to serve the State of New York. This award is a true testament of the level of performance, building management and overall customer service O,R&L has provided our clients for over 20 years."
In just the first year of management of the building, O,R&L Facility Services achieved a savings of $300,000 in annual operating costs thanks to green cleaning practices and other cost saving measures, the release added.
