ANN ARBOR, MI — NSF International has launched a new OQC (Origine Qualità Controllata – controlled/certified origin and quality) Product Registration Program to verify and attest to the quality and origin of products produced in Italy via documentation review and facility audits, according to a press release.

As the third-party administrator of the new program, NSF International will verify that a product complies with OQC Guidelines by reviewing quality material safety and performance documentation and performing annual audits of the facility in which the product is made, the release stated.

According to the release, product categories covered by OQC Product Registration Program include: Materials or products that come into contact with drinking water such as mechanical devices used in treatment/transmission/distribution systems, pipes and related products and mechanical plumbing devices.

"This noteworthy OQC Registration Program is tangible proof of the effort, the care and the passion all of us, at every level of our international group, have put forth to be state-of-the-art in our sector of activity," said Ugo Pettinaroli, chief executive officer (CEO) of Fratelli Pettinaroli.

"Moreover, the bestowal of the OQC label sets the seal on a long-lasting and continuous collaboration between our group and NSF International, one of the most prestigious certification and standard-setting organizations worldwide," Pettinaroli added.
