TAYLOR, MI — Taylor Sportsplex was evacuated on Sunday after 25 hockey players came down with gastrointestinal issues, according to the Press and Guide.
On Monday, the Wayne County Health Department conducted an investigation, while also contacting the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), which did not come out, the article stated.
According to the article, water samples were sent to an independent testing facility in Monroe.
"We''re not saying [norovirus is] the problem, but that''s what we''re leaning toward," said Carol Austerberry of the health department.
The complex was closed on Monday while an independent cleaning crew deep cleaned the building, the article noted.
