NFMT 2009 Features Four Free Co-Located Trade Events March 10-12, 2009 at the Baltimore Convention Center
BALTIMORE — NFMT 2009 is the economical way for facility professionals from across the country to participate in valuable education and professional networking opportunities. Advance registration is free and features complementary access to the show''s four co-located events.
NFMT is co-presented by Trade Press Media Group, Inc., Milwaukee, and ROC Exhibitions, Lisle, Ill. The event, which in 2008 drew more than 5,000 attendees, is set for March 10-12, 2009 at the Baltimore Convention Center, 1 W. Pratt St., Baltimore. The event includes the National Facilities Management & Technology Conference & Expo, Maintenance Solutions Expo, GreenTech and Safe Building Expo. NFMT is brought to the market by Building Operating Management and Maintenance Solutions magazines. General show hours are from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
With more than 500 trade show exhibitors and 12 educational conference tracks, NFMT is the country''s premiere event dedicated to professionals responsible for the management, operations, design and construction of commercial and institutional buildings. Pre-conference workshops from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Monday, March 9, provide attendees with in-depth education prior to the show that covers asset management, electrical safety, greening existing buildings and facility planning for disaster. There is a $99 fee for the special pre-conference workshops.
Solutions Exchange returns at 7:45 a.m. on Wednesday, March 11. The speed-learning event encourages attendees to interact and share ideas for problem solving on critical and timely topics. Like the rest of the general educational sessions, Solutions Exchange is free to pre-registered attendees.
NFMT is now certified by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training. Attendees who complete educational sessions will be able to use NFMT-issued Continuing Education Unit credits to maintain professional designations from organizations such as The American Institute of Architects, IFMA, Association for Facilities Engineering and BOMI, as well as state and local licensing boards.

NFMT''s flagship event, the National Facilities Management & Technology Conference and Expo, is dedicated to professionals responsible for the management, operations, design and construction of commercial and institutional buildings. GreenTech Conference & Exposition
Green building is at the forefront of energy savings and new LEED standards will be setting the tone for how these buildings work and function. This event is designed for professionals and companies leading sustainability initiatives and advancements for their corporate, commercial and institutional facilities.
Co-located within NMFT and available to registered attendees at no cost, GreenTech offers educational conference tracks that take an in-depth look at two key issues: design and interiors. "Sustainable Design and Operations" examines what makes a facility healthy and environmentally responsible. "Green Strategies and Standards" highlights the role products play in creating an environmentally sound facility from the inside out.
Maintenance Solutions Expo

Safe Buildings Expo
Safe Buildings Expo serves the education and purchasing needs of corporate and institutional security directors and facility managers responsible for the safety and security of their buildings and its occupants. With security at the forefront of today''s facility issues, Safe Buildings Expo provides a platform for managers to focus on their roles, responsibilities and the critical information they need to advance security practices.
