Machine turns water into cleaning solution
A Massachusetts entrepreneur has started selling machines that convert tap water into a nontoxic cleaning solution.

The electrolyzed water produced by Sam Coco''s Electrolyzer Corp. s machine can be used to kill bacteria and viruses by damaging cell membranes.

Study: Housekeeper injuries rising

ServiceMaster exec picked to lead U.S. SBA
Steven Preston, executive vice president of ServiceMaster, was nominated by President George W. Bush to replace Hector Barreto as head of the Small Business Administration.

Barreto has resigned to head The Latino Coalition advocacy group; Preston will leave ServiceMaster while awaiting Senate confirmation.

San Diego-based building service contractor KBM Building Services has appointed Dale Meacham as director of operations.

Clorox searches for new CEO
Gerald Johnston, chairman and chief executive officer of Oakland, CA-based Clorox Co., has retired.

Robert Matschullat will continue as interim chairman and CEO at Clorox, while the company conducts a search for a new leader.
