BOMA International Names New Chair

Ray H. Mackey, Jr. has been named chair and chief elected officer of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International.

Mackey, a BOMA member since 1984 and chief operating officer at Stream Realty, has been active in numerous committees at BOMA International, chairing the Education Committee, the Education Advisory Council, the Nominating Committee, the Reinventing Major Meetings Task Force and the BOMA 360 Performance Program Council.

SMA Announces New Director Of Health Care

Strategic Market Alliance (SMA) Chief Operating Officer Richard McGann recently announced that Alicia Rodriguez joined SMA as director of health care.

Rodriguez joins SMA with more than 17 years'' experience in marketing and management positions within the distribution and manufacturing industry, including over 10 years with Georgia-Pacific Corporation and SCA Tissue North America.

Drummex Acquires Gent-L-Kleen

Gent-L-Kleen Products Inc. has announced new ownership with its recent acquisition by Dreumex B.V. of the Netherlands.

Gent-L-Kleen will be a strategic base for Dreumex to produce select products for North American markets.

The 2010 Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) Conference and Every Building Show ran from June 27 to June 29, 2010, and Wm R. Griffin, president of Cleaning Consultant Services Inc., was there to deliver us the goods.

An estimated 4,000 members attended the three-day event, which included educational presentations, meetings and a trade show with over 300 exhibitors.
