SCA Tissue Appoints Vice President Of Human Resources

SCA Tissue North America recently announced the promotion of James Carmichael as vice president of human resources.

Carmichael — who previously served as the director of employee relations since 2008 — will now oversee all human resources teams and lead programs and policies related to benefits, compensation, performance management, employee services, safety and labor relations.

Charmichael, who has a Juris Doctorate from Albany Law School and a graduate degree from Duke University, previously held leadership positions at Greif Packaging, Westvaco, Georgia-Pacific and Smurfit-Stone.

PAK-IT Hires Account Manager

PAK-IT LLC recently announced the hiring of Brian Gray as account manager for bulk chemicals.

Gray brings over 30 years of sales experience to the company, working previously as the regional sales manager for Misco Products Corporation and a sales manager at National Chemical Laboratories Inc., Hako-Minuteman Inc. and Contract Sweepers Company.

Access Partners Hires Sales Team Member

JanSan and foodservice representative agency Access Partners recently announced the hiring of Mark Presho to its sales team.

Presho has worked as a sales manager and market development manager for Technical Concepts and Rubbermaid Commercial Products and has an extensive background in distribution.

Chlorine Institute Names New President

The Chlorine Institute Inc., trade association for the chlor-alkali industry, recently named Frank Reiner as incoming president.

Reiner will succeed, Arthur E. Dungan, current president, on June 14, allowing for a six-week transition period before Dungan''s July 31 retirement.


New Name And Branding For JohnsonDiversey

JohnsonDiversey Inc. and JohnsonDiversey Holdings Inc. are changing their names to Diversey Inc. and Diversey Holdings Inc., respectively.

Effective immediately, the name change — approved by the board of directors for both entities — will coincide with an overhaul of the identity and branding of the company, centered on the principles of its new tagline: "For a cleaner, healthier future."

USGBC Supports CIMS-GB As A LEED-EBOM Resource

ISSA recently announced the approval by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) for the Cleaning Industry Management Standard (CIMS) Green Building (GB) criteria and designation as a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design for Existing Buildings: Operations & Maintenance (LEED-EBOM) resource.

CIMS-GB, introduced last October, augments the CIMS standard to focus on providing environmentally friendly cleaning service to customers and to assist companies in securing credits under the LEED-EBOM Green Building Rating System.

So far, 18 building service contractors (BSCs) and in-house service providers have become certified under both CIMS and CIMS-GB.

Abatron Products Achieve GREENGUARD Certification

Building and restoration products manufacturer Abatron Inc. recently announced the certification of three products under the GREENGUARD program.

WoodEpox, LiquidWood and Abocrete products have all passed rigorous testing and are shown to have low, non-toxic emissions.

As part of the testing, products are thoroughly screened for over 10,000 volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and must participate in ongoing monitoring for quality.

Kimberly-Clark Named A Top Corporate Citizen

Kimberly-Clark Corporation was recently named one of the top five corporate citizens in the world by Corporate Responsibility magazine.

Kimberly-Clark was the top non-food consumer products business on the list, placing fifth overall and improving on its 2009 ranking of ninth.

Among the things that Corporate Responsibility magazine said Kimberly-Clark had improved upon in the past year are its corporate governance, human rights and environmental responsibility activities.

Georgia-Pacific Awarded For Marketing Innovation

Georgia-Pacific Professional recently received the Best Marketing Innovation of the Decade award for its enMotion brand of touchless dispensers.

The award was presented by the Georgia State University''s Robinson College of Business and the Atlanta Business Chronicle.

The enMotion dispenser is part of Georgia-Pacific''s Green by Design program, designating it as a product that contributes to source reduction.
