ProTeam Welcomes New Hire

ProTeam Inc. recently hired Frank Baldwin to the role of market key account manager for the Southeast U.S.

With a nine-year background in the janitorial industry, Baldwin previously worked with Activeion Cleaning Solutions LLC and Rubbermaid Commercial Products LLC covering distribution, management and sales.

ECi Expand Training Team

eCommerce Industries Inc. (ECi) recently announced the expansion of their team of industry veterans with the addition of Lauren LaRue in the role of dealer trainer.

This new position will add another dedicated resource, ensuring that all users receive the premier training and personal support they have come to expect from the software company.

Diamond Chemical Announces New Supervisor

Ed Jozak has joined Diamond Chemical Company Inc. in the position of accounts receivable supervisor.

Jozak, who has over 22 years of accounts receivable/credit experience, is certified in financial statement analysis and has a certificate in credit, collection and financial management.

Network Services Company Makes Addition

Network Services Company recently added Darren Victory to the national account development team in the role of director of health care.

Victory comes to Network from Novation, a health care group purchasing organization (GPO), where he served as the director of surgical contract services and previously portfolio executive of support services.

ACI Promotes Employee

The American Cleaning Institute (ACI) has promoted Kathleen Stanton to director of technical and regulatory affairs.

Stanton, who previously served as associate director of scientific affairs, manages global consortia on high-production volume chemicals, manages research on the environmental effects of major cleaning product ingredients and works closely with the oleochemical industry to promote innovation.

HFI Adds To Advisory Board

John Gayetsky, environmental management specialist for the Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO), has joined the Healthy Facilities Institute (HFI) advisory board.

Gayetsky, who previously served as the senior industrial hygienist and engineer with the Indoor Environments Section of the Ohio Department of Health, is also the chief executive officer (CEO) and co-founder of Green Schools International (GSI).


Sealed Air Acquires Diversey

Sealed Air Corporation and Diversey Inc. have entered into a definitive agreement under which Sealed Air will acquire Diversey in a transaction valued at $4.3 billion.

Under the terms of the agreement, Diversey shareholders will receive $2.1 billion in cash and an aggregate of 31.7 million shares of Sealed Air common stock valued at $25.68 per share.

Fish Named Military Friendly Franchise

Fish Window Cleaning has again been named a military friendly franchise by G.I. Jobs magazine.

The list, which honors the top seven percent of franchises doing the most to recruit America’s veterans as franchisees, is designed to help veterans learn which franchises give them the best financial incentives and training and which franchises have the highest number of veteran franchisees.

CIRI Announces A Call For Papers

The Cleaning Industry Research Institute (CIRI) has announced its call for topics, proposals and papers to be considered for its fall science and technology symposium, “Cleaning Effectiveness and the Science of Antimicrobials & Disinfectants.”

A follow-up to the April conference focusing on the relationship between green cleaning and science, the fall symposium will address the science and effectiveness of antimicrobial technologies, disinfectants, sanitizers, etc.

Federal Building Services Receives Award Of Excellence

Federal Building Services Inc. recently received the Science-based Cleaning Certificate of Excellence award for cleaning and maintaining the Woodfield Mall.

The Science-based Cleaning Certificate of Excellence award is contingent on a company scoring at least 80 percent on the Clean Audit, a third-party evaluation of the cleaning process that utilizes measurement to prove outcomes.

CMI Certifies Trainers

The Cleaning Management Institute (CMI) recently completed another successful Train the Trainer course at their office just outside of Albany, New York, on May 17-19.

A total of 18 individuals completed the three-day course and were certified as trainers after satisfactorily completing an examination.
