MMMM Adds To Management Team

Mitch Murch''s Maintenance Management Company (MMMM) recently made several additions to their management team.

Kimberly Ratliff has been hired as the regional manager for MMMM''s Texas region; Blayne Young has been hired as a regional sales manager in MMMM''s Tennessee, Kentucky, Arkansas and Mississippi regions; and Khanh Hoang has been hired as a regional sales manager in MMMM''s Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Western Missouri regions.

Triple S Elects Board Of Directors

At the annual Triple S stockholder''s meeting, the following individuals were elected to the Triple S Board of Directors: Jim Chittom, Jr. of Athens Janitor Supply Company; Kenneth Crutcher of Kenway Distributors Inc.; John Earl of John A. Earl Inc.; M. A. Ellis of Lansing Sanitary Supply Company; Douglas Ireland of Capital Sanitary Supply Company Inc.; Bruce Janvey of I. Janvey & Sons Inc.; Martin Munvez of Chemcraft Industries Inc.; Dutch Owens of GEM Supply Company Inc.; David Rea of House Sanitary Supply Company; Michael Tighe of Industrial Cleaning Products Inc.; and John Treat of Treat''s Solutions.

John Treat was elected as the chairman of the board; John Earl was elected as secretary; Robert Langley was serve as treasurer; and Alan Sadler will act as clerk.

Clorox Green Works Recognized By IEHA

IEHA recently announced that Green Works concentrated cleaners from Clorox Professional Products Company have been recognized as High Performance Cleaning Products (HPCP).

To be approved for the IEHA HPCP program, a product must perform exceedingly well on more than one type of dirt and soil as determined by the Toxic Use Reduction Institute (TURI) at the University of Massachusetts at Lowell.

Grainger Highlights Georgia-Pacific

For the second year in a row, W.W. Grainger Inc. presented Georgia-Pacific Professional with two Partners in Performance Awards at Grainger''s annual supplier conference.

Georgia-Pacific Professional earned both the Green Supplier of the Year and an award for supplier excellence for 2011.

Kaivac Honored By NRA

The National Restaurant Association (NRA) has honored Kaivac Inc. as a recipient of their 2012 Kitchen Innovations Award for their OmniFlex dispense-and-vacuum system.

According to the judges, floors are left completely dry after being cleaned using this new technology, making them available for immediate use by employees and customers.

NSF Offering Chemical Evaluations

NSF International is now offering chemical reviews in accordance with Clean Production Action''s (CPA) GreenScreen for Safer Chemicals program.

GreenScreen reviews, which are offered through NSF International''s Sustainability division, allow organizations to substitute hazardous chemicals with safer alternatives.

NFSI and IEHA Form Educational Partnership

The National Floor Safety Institute (NFSI) and IEHA have announced an educational partnership to disseminate information designed to help the cleaning industry reduce the incidences of slips and falls.

NFSI will assist IEHA in producing educational materials, including additions to IEHA''s Safety and Security Module, which is integral to the Technical and Administrative portion of IEHA''s Professional Education Credentialing Program (PECP).

EnvirOx Adds Manufacturers Representative Group

EnvirOx LLC recently announced that they have partnered with Petrone Associates, a manufacturer''s representative group, to cover the state of Florida.

Bob Petrone, Jr., Mike Petrone and Greg Barto will all work with EnvirOx to provide service to the state of Florida and the authorized EnvirOx distributors in this territory.

Bell Janitorial Relocates

Bell Janitorial Supply recently relocated to a newer, upgraded facility with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on February 23.

Although the new facility is just down the road from the original warehouse, Michael Tanner, chief executive officer (CEO) of Bell Janitorial, says it is a whole new world for them.

Cintas Announces ENERGY STAR Partnership

Cintas Corporation recently partnered with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) on its ENERGY STAR program, which provides a strategic approach to energy management by tracking an organization''s current energy efficiency and future improvement.

As a partner in the program, corporate-level employees, site managers and field engineers will all gain a better understanding of how energy is being used at Cintas and identify areas that can be improved.

PCHS Names Preferred Products

The Process Cleaning for Healthy Schools (PCHS) Consortium has named ProTeam backpack vacuums preferred products, signifying that they meet the highest standards for cleaning in educational facilities.

Also named preferred products were: Kaivac Inc.''s spray-and-vacuum equipment, Clorox Professional Products Company''s Green Works concentrated cleaners and other solutions tested by the International Executive Housekeepers Association''s (IEHA) High Performance Cleaning Product (HPCP) Program in conjunction with the Toxics Use Reduction Institute (TURI) at the University of Massachusetts at Lowell.
