CM Expo® has gotten a facelift. Beginning this month, Cleaning Management Institute® (CMI)-sponsored educational conferences will be known as CM/EduConSM.

The plethora of educational courses and workshops — beginning with CM/EduConSM Las Vegas January 18-20 — has expanded its course offerings to further motivate and inspire your quest for knowledge.

From Team Cleaning® to National Floor Safety Institute (NFSI) Floor Safety Certification to Expert Spot & Stain Removal and much more, there is something for everyone, depending on what each individual or group is looking to take away from CM/EduConSM.

Through educational courses and workshops, and hands-on training featuring various technical applications, attendees can expect to brush up on their skills, achieve new certifications, and/or take their business to the next level. (Please see “Course highlights”.)

Education as main focus

According to Matt Gallinger, director of events for the CM B2B Trade Group, there’s been a shift in focus, from including education and training as part of CMI annual conferences, to making it the epicenter of the events.

The shift will allow CMI to better meet the educational and training needs of the facility cleaning and maintenance market.

Other facets of each CM/EduConSM are designed to complement teaching and learning aspects of the event.

Attendees and instructors alike will still have an opportunity to see new product demonstrations, and meet representatives from local suppliers and national manufacturers through the CM/EduConSM sponsorship program, Gallinger said.

In the first half of 2005, CM/EduConSM will visit six cities across the country. (Please see “CM/EduConSM 2005 winter/spring schedule”.) Additional dates and locations are planned for the fall and winter.
