Monday''s Ask the Experts question from a cleaning professional on the International Custodial Advisors Network (ICAN) "Ask the Experts" page: How much do major franchise cleaning companies pay to their experienced or inexperienced quality control representatives?
The answer:
I am not aware of anyone who would have that exact information except the franchise itself.
In your city (New York), the bls.gov website shows a starting janitorial labor cost of $12.03 an hour and experienced pay scale of $13.70 (about a 14 percent increase for experienced workers).
However, first-line supervisors earn $23.96 an hour, quite an amazing spread. Normally, we see an increase of only $5 an hour more for a supervisor.
You would expect to see most quality control inspectors paid ...Gary Clipperton, National Pro Clean Corp., www.nationalproclean.com
