Monday''s Ask the Experts question from a cleaning professional on the International Custodial Advisors Network (ICAN) "Ask the Experts" page: Is there a estimate list of how many square feet each FTE should be able to clean? For instance, for a 240,000 sq.ft. hospital, how much staff should I have?

I''d expect the average production rate would range between 1500 to 2300 sq. ft. per productive hour per employee, based on what you have told me. Good question, risky answer due to all the variables that impact a facility and different areas within a facility.
