PIERRE, SD — The Department of Health (DOH) will hold free training sessions across the state to help prepare for cleaning up homes and businesses impacted by flooding, according to the Sioux City Journal.
The DOH will hold two trainings, one for homeowners and business owners and one for city and county officials, volunteer organizations and state agency personnel, the article stated.
According to the article, topics include cleaning flooded structures, decontamination, sanitizing, mold and other contaminants, economical remediation, cleanup hazards and re-occupying the home.
The site supervisor training will also include additional topics related to coordinating a cleanup effort and managing volunteers, the article noted.
