Memphis, TN — MCR Safety is proud to announce that we have recently expanded our manufacturing operations with a new yarn spinning facility located in Puebla, Mexico. This 120,000 square foot facility currently produces 20,000 pounds of yarn daily. Production includes Kevlar and assorted yarns to support our glove, sleeves, and garment manufacturing. MCR Safety is the only DuPont licensee that manufactures its own Kevlar yarn.
The Puebla yarn spinning facility supports another one of our string knit manufacturing facilities located in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. Hand protection offerings produced in this facility include the majority of our Kevlar gloves and sleeves, many of our blended string knit offerings, and terrycloth styles. Our capabilities also include applying dots, coatings, and crisscrossed patterns to the string knit shells. In addition to these hand protection styles, green sateen cotton welding garments, industrial aprons, and high visibility safety vests are also manufactured at this location. MCR Safety has been manufacturing string knit products for over 23 years and has plans to continue expanding our current mix of over 750 product offerings from this facility.
