MCR Safety expands operations in Mexico

MEMPHIS, TNMCR Safety announces that they have recently expanded their manufacturing operations with a new yarn spinning facility located in Puebla, Mexico, according to a press release.
The 120,000-square-foot facility currently produces 20,000 pounds of yarn daily, including Kevlar and assorted yarns to support MCR Safety''s glove, sleeve and garment manufacturing, the release stated.
According to the release, MCR Safety is the only DuPont licensee that manufactures its own Kevlar yarn.
MCR Safety has been manufacturing string knit products for over 23 years and has plans to continue expanding their current mix of over 750 product offerings from their new facility, the release noted.
Larry Garner, MCR Safety chief marketing officer, said: "This new facility firmly demonstrates our commitment to expanding our manufacturing operations globally, as well as assuring greater quality control and product consistency."
