The Public Works Department includes the following areas: Maintenance operations (fleet and facilities, streets, drainage, parks, trails and open space); water treatment (storage and pumping, reclaimed water supply and storage); wastewater collection; and special lighting and landscape districts.

Ten years of responsible Public Works experience including 5 years in supervision/management and the equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
The salary range for the Public Works director is $128,496 - $156,168 and is dependent upon qualifications.
