PETERBOROUGH, ON, Canada — Cleaning product manuafacturer Enviro-Solutions Ltd. recently released an updated sustainability statement that emphasizes the "tripple bottom line" — the impact a company''s actions have on people, planet Earth and profits, according to a press release.
Enviro-Solutions recognizes that a company is in business to produce earnings, but they encourage organizations to realize that profits should also benefit the community as a whole, the release stated.
Mike Sawchuck, vice-president and general manager of Enviro-Solutions, said: "For instance, we are renewing our efforts with our distributors and their end customers to become more energy efficient, reduce waste and provide a healthier environment in their own business operations. This also can help them cut operating costs considerably. We see our pursuit of truly sustainable, responsible business practices as a work in progress. It demands that we stay current with new technologies that help our business, our distributors’ businesses and their customers become more environmentally responsible and consume less energy and use fewer natural resources."
The commercial cleaning industry, which has proven to be a leader in adopting environmentally preferable cleaning practices, also has an opportunity to be a leader in promoting fair, ethical and beneficial business practices toward cleaning workers and other employees, the release noted.
Sawchuk says that along with taking steps to protect the environment, the new sustainability statement means Enviro-Solutions is considering the broader economic and social impacts that the commercial cleaning industry have on the environment, the release added.
