According to the story, some places, like the Midtown Exchange in Minneapolis and 150 Hennepin County buildings, have already made the change.
According to a report released by the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 26, building owners in the Twin Cities area could save $10 million a year, and the union wants to make sure janitors are involved in the process, the story stated.
Javier Morillo, president of the union, said: "We want to make sure we are in on the front end of working out the details."
Janitors want to make sure that a switch to daytime cleaning would not result in a reduction of hours, the story added.
