NANAIMO, BC — Before the Nanaimo Ladysmith School district begins 2012-2013 budget talks, an independent review of the districts'' janitorial services will be completed, according to the Daily News.
Last spring, the district''s board of trustees asked for a report on the status of janitorial services in the district as compared to others in the province, the article stated.
According to the article, the need for a review came after the board decided to cut eight full-time positions for the 2011-2012 budget.
"The board needs the information so they can make better informed decisions on whether we should be cutting janitorial positions or adding new ones," said spokeswoman Donna Reimer.
