PHOENIX, AZ — When the eco-friendly trend caught on a few years ago, the transition was easy for Bob Croft, president of CBN Building Maintenance, according to The Arizona Republic.
Bob Croft''s commercial janitorial company started using environmentally conscious cleaning materials, usage and disposal, along with recycling, in the mid-1980s, the article noted.
Staying a step ahead of the curve has helped Croft''s business succeed since he started CBN in 1974: Although the services that clients seek have not changed much over the past 36 years, how their buildings are serviced has, the article stated.
According to the article, when customers wanted to be more Earth-conscious, Croft saw his company attract more interest despite the shrinking of his potential market as many smaller businesses resorted to doing their own cleaning to reduce expenses.
