STUTTGART, GERMANY — A janitor from Germany, who police say stole 27 tons of office supplies over the decades, likely wont be arrested, according to United Press International.
The janitor, 69, has admitted to Stuttgart authorities that he took office items and cleaning supplies from numerous office buildings in the years leading up to his 2007 retirement, the article stated.
According to the article, an anonymous tip led authorities to the former janitor, who kept the stolen items in his apartment.
The janitor is unlikely to be charged as many of the thefts are outside of the statute of limitations.
