LYNN, MA - Christopher P. Raney, a Pickering Middle School custodian, was recently arrested for allegedly stealing as much as $600 from school employees, according to an article from The Daily Item.
The arrest occurred after an ongoing investigation into thefts at the school since last September, reported the article.
According to the article, Raney was charged with six counts of larceny and was arraigned last Thursday at Lynn District Court by Judge Joseph Jennings.
When asked why he stole between $400-$600 during his spree, Raney said: "I don''t know, I never really had any extra money … maybe it was the thrill or the rush … I''m not sure."
