Interlink Supply hosts Planning to Win event

LAS VEGAS — More than 70 restoration professionals attended the Planning to Win Accelerated Marketing Program March 5-7, hosted by Interlink Supply.

All attendees were assigned to work as teams of networking groups for the learning modules, with topics ranging from marketing processes, problem solving, branding and strategies, targeting, restoration strategies and more.

Each team was focused on a specific market segment, such as plumbers, property managers, agents, adjusters and more. Their goal was to build a marketing plan for those segments, and then share ideas with other teams.

"Most restoration companies make the mistake of trying to market or capture all industry segments at the same time and consequently do it poorly," said Dave Hanks, facilitator of the event. "PTW teaches a restorer to identify the best market for them and then how to build a sustainable marketing plan to dominate it."

Lead instructors for the three day training event included:

• John Adam Kowalskia, a widely-recognized leader of Arizona''s small business community and president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Pivot Productions Inc.

• Brent Bowthorpe, manager and owner of Class One Disaster Recovery in Murray, Utah.

Industry consultants and trainers invited as guest presenters for portions of the program included, Jeff Cross, senior editor of Cleanfax magazine; Dan Bernazzani, president of DryAdvise; and John Otero of Bridgepoint/Interlink Supply.

The next Planning to Win event will be November 5-7, 2012, again in Las Vegas.
